UPS, that is. The BIG brown truck just drove by on our sorta-cleared street.

I'm impressed. And hope they doubled up the drivers--a buddy if you get stuck, you know.

I just tried to meet our postal carrier before she had to get out of her truck. Failed. At least she only walked a few feet and not the whole way. I feel bad that she was delivering mostly advertisements. She could have kept my insurance bill for another day.

I'm glad that you showed your appreciation for what she has to do!

I have not seen our postal person as of yet--usually he's here before 11. It is very possible that our local PO has decided it's too dangerous on the routes, and will not send the mail out. Since I'm not waiting for anything, so that's fine by me.

(I do think my regular postman needs some fingerless mitts, though.)

In truth, I was lucky. I was putting out bread for the birds and saw her truck just as I was shutting the door. Otherwise, my desk and work area are in the basement... so I'd never see her. Her timing is a bit erratic too; some mornings it is 9am and others it's noon. If she's not here by noon it's a toss up as to when she'll come by.

Yes, yes, they do

I had a UPS-delivered package show up at my house today, on schedule. I'm impressed. I'd've been perfectly happy with delivery any time in the next week, given the road and driveway conditions...

I do know they're quite determined not to make a second trip though... the guy who delivered my meds yesterday even commented to my son (who signed for them) that they never double-check anyway... these meds have to be signed for by an adult. It'll be OK... but it's something they generally never do (they've come back before once when he was the only one in at the time).
