5K for the MS 5K!
Apr. 19th, 2012 09:12 amWow!
We are SO CLOSE! In the last week we've raised about a thousand dollars, and we're now just over $500 from raising five thousand dollars as a team for research in Multiple Sclerosis. 5K for the MS 5K. That makes me giggle, and I'd LOVE for our team to make that goal.
I've reached my personal goal, but there's others on my team that are still in need of donations. Can you help? Can you give five dollars, or twenty? Every little bit will help, every dollar gets us closer to the 5K goal, and goes towards curing MS.
I have friends with MS (hi guys!) and I have friends with relatives with MS. Above all, my mother in law is fighting MS. She loves her grandson, and one of my hopes is for her to be there at his wedding, laughing and enjoying life. Slowly MS is stealing that joy from her, and I want to stop that. I want my son's children to think of MS the way we think of Polio now--something that happened in the past, that might crop up once in a while, but can be inoculated against.
The walk is this Sunday. We have 18 people walking or volunteering in the rest stop--we've run that thing for years and years now. Can you help us make 5K before the 5K?
This is our team page. Pick someone, or donate to the team in general. Every dollar helps.
