Knitting Reality Check
Jun. 8th, 2008 08:40 pmYe Gods, I'm not buying any more yarn for a while. I've had a case of startitis, and need to have a case or two of completitis before I cast anything else on, and the temptation with new yarn is too great.
Current Projects:
1. Game Sock. Plain black sock in a plain non-pattern. Still on sock 1, somewhere on the foot (top-down).
2. Froot Loops Sock. Funky pattern that you can't see in a not-really-thick-enough-but-fun-dyed yarn. Nice and squooshy. About to need to look at the first heel.
3. Philadelphia Sock. Yarn bought in Philly, and immediately cast on so I had a plain knit project during sessions.Almost Have turned the heel on the first sock (and I'm in LOVE with Lorna's Laces--a great yarn to work with in general).
4. The CA shrug. Smaller than a full sweater, in a lace pattern. Am about halfway through the shrug--easy enough to knit, takes a wee bit of thought.
5. The Plane Fetchings. Cast on at BWI on the way OUT to CA, and the first was finished on the way back from CA. Second is about a third the way completed since we came back.
6. The Faith/Prayer/Capi's Shawl. Takes thought. I've been too run about to hold still and give it the attention that it needs, although it did travel to CA to visit Capi. *grin*
Not yet cast on but will be soon:
7. Packers Golf Club Covers. The yarn came in--I ordered it waaay back in January. These should be quick--once I chart out the logo.
8. Socks that Rock Sock Club for May--it's PURPLE, and the lighter weight, and the pattern is by Yarnissima--an incredible designer. I am very much looking forward to that one--once I finish one of the other THREE pair of socks.
9. A Calorimetry, for a friend.
Further Down the Line:
10. Boy Sweater. I have the yarn, and can whip one up on the next size up. (See, I'm working up to my own full-sized sweater.)
11. Dad Scarf. It's green, it's patterned. He should like it.
12. The Grey Alpaca Project. That is, once I've gotten more of the yarn and decided what to make of it. It may becaome my first sweater, or a rectangular shawl, or I don't know yet.
13. The Red Sweater. Last year's Christmas Present from my husband was enough for a sweater. I should make it.
14. The Rogue Sweater. Yarn is in stash, and I'm slowly gaining the skills I think I need to do that pattern (and my physical shape) justice.
I had thought I might make a cotton tank for myself for this summer, but, well, that's not happening. I'm overplanned, and starting to wonder about Christmas gifts for people. So now, I'm off to make this second Fetching, and probably fall asleep in the process. I'm a slogging slug today. Urgle.
