I'm a weiner!

...and how.

I entered 14 things total. All but two placed. Of the placings, NONE were below second. (None were best in show either, but I'll work on that.)

Wanna see all the stuff?

First is the bread. I've been making this for what, a month? Once a week at that? This wasn't my best loaf--the humidity had gotten to the crust and made it chewier than I like, but still. I got second.

Then I went out of the ordinary, and entered a luggage tag in the Christmas Corner--a separate place to let Christmas crafting compete. And it won a blue. A blue! Can you believe it?

The Best In Shows in this area were the jewelry, and a decorated bag. Wrapping presents is a category in the Christmas Corner.

And then there's the knitting. I made a lot of things for this group--some as long ago as Spring, or later. The oldest piece is the Boy's sweater. At any rate, it all fared well except for two pieces--adult hat and adult scarf. Which is fine, as they are pieces for me, and I love them. Nyah.

So here's the pictures, tossed together. I've pointed out my pieces in each.

In order, that's some dyed wool handspun yarn, socks, a dishcloth where they've obscured the spinning pattern with the ribbon and tag, undyed wool and a hat made from it, my Stacy shawl, my son's sweater from last winter, my unwinning Irish Hiking scarf, the mittens I made to match it, earrings made on Spring Fling in class (and then worn the rest of that weekend), a dumpling bag that felted to look more like a bodice (it has a waist), and my poor unribboned hat. Made to match the scarf and mittens--this year's set for me.

All in all, I was very pleased, and surprised, and glad that I entered what I did. I'm curious to see what the comments are this year--especially on the scarf and hat, and the undyed yarn. And the bread. That's probably my biggest surprise.

Squishy hugs are always accepted from Capi! *squish*

I'm glad you made with the clicky. I'm proud of my work, and my knitting group. We swept a couple of categories, and that's what I was hoping we'd do. I am in the company of some awesome knitters.
