FEELING GOOD
2. Cut back on caffeine.
Coffee tastes great and it's safe to drink in moderation. But too much caffeine can make you irritable. It can also upset your stomach and disturb your sleep. Medical experts recommend that you consume no more than 300 milligrams of caffeine a day. That's the equivalent of about two cups of brewed coffee.
Start feeling better today by moderating your intake of coffee, caffeinated tea, and soft drinks with caffeine.
I've had a peach for breakfast, along with my usual cup of coffee. What is of interest to me about it is that the coffeemaker tells me that my one Capi mug is equivalent to two cups. So watch your portions, people!
Also, This is one I've already done. I have my coffee, an occasional chai, and that's it. On a rare occasion I'll have a soda (fully leaded, thank you, if I'm going to do it), or fully leaded tea...until lunch. Having it with dinner can keep me up crazy hours, and I'm rather fond of my sleep. My drink du jour these days is water, iced.
How about you? How's your caffeine habit?

Date: 2010-08-31 01:43 pm (UTC)i have hot tea at work, green usually, but black if i'm needing to wake up a lot more than normal.
if i don't need to get to bed by 11, or if i need to stay up past 11 (say we are driving somewhere and i am feeling sleepy), i will occasionally indulge in another caffeinated beverage. usually iced tea no sweetener.
it is rare that i have a starbuck's variety cappuccino and even rarer a frothy whippe creamy mocha or something like that. (like on the weekend for a rare rare treat.)
but mostly my drink of choice is green tea/herbal tea, lemonade (minute maid plz with JOOS in it), or water.
